Infant massage — classes for parents

Infant massage is one of the simplest, most meaningful ways to communicate with your baby: a few minutes of calm, steady touch that strengthen the parent–infant bond, with documented benefits for sleep, colic and development.

Classes run as a short course for babies aged 0–12 months, taught by a certified instructor of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). During the classes the massage is done by the parent alone, with the instructor guiding the process step by step — so the skill stays in your hands for good.

What you gain

  • A stronger parent–infant bond and richer communication
  • Techniques for relieving colic and constipation
  • Better infant sleep
  • Support for physical and motor development
  • Genuinely calm time together
Why join an IAIM infant massage cycle?

IAIM infant massage meetings offer far more than learning a technique. They are a chance to spend quality time with your baby, to strengthen your bond through touch, communication and play, and to gain a skill that stays with you day to day. You will also learn how to relieve colic and other common discomforts, to read your baby’s cues and needs more confidently, and to share the experience with other new parents in a warm, supportive setting.

From what age can we start?

The cycle of meetings is for babies from birth to 12 months. The techniques are always adapted to each baby’s age, developmental stage and needs, with full respect for their cues.

How many sessions are there?

The course runs over a few weekly sessions so all the techniques are covered gradually. Details are given when you book.

What should I bring?

Your baby, one clean nappy and the everyday baby bag with the essentials. All the equipment needed is provided by the practice.
